オープンソースソリューションのプロバイダとして世界をリードするRed Hat, Inc. (NYSE: RHT、以下「Red Hat」)は本日、インメモリデータグリッドソリューションの最新版「Red Hat JBoss Data Grid 6.2」の提供開始を発表しました。最新版は大規模データセットを扱うアプリケーションのパフォーマンス高速化を実現し、成長するビジネスニーズへの企業のスムーズな対応を後押しします。
IT環境の多くは、大規模データの様々な課題が日常的になる以前に設計されたものです。最近の競争力のあるアプリケーションに要求されるものは、膨大なデータの管理、および高速データアクセス、高可用性および柔軟なスケーラビリティです。アプリケーションのパフォーマンス低下を引き起こす主な要因の一つは、ビジネスおよび顧客のニーズに対応する十分な速度でデータセットをアクセス、処理、分析および統合することができない、従来のリレーショナルデータベースにあります。
JBoss Data Gridは、データベースに補完的レイヤを提供することにより、企業が新規にデータインフラストラクチャに投資することなく、これらの課題を解決する手助けをします。このレイヤに保存されるデータは種類、アクセス頻度またはその他の特性により優先順位が付けられます。データグリッドは、データ処理の高速化および待ち時間の低減を可能にし、従来のデータベース上の負担を除くことにより、スケーラブルなパフォーマンスを提供しアップタイムのサービスレベルアグリーメント(SLA)を満たします。
バージョン6.2の新機能：
- クエリ: クエリ機能で、ユーザーはデータグリッド内のオブジェクトを、プロパティやメタデータに基づいて簡単に検索し見つけることができ、オブジェクトに割り当てられたキーを知る必要はありません。
- 高スループット、ファイルベースのキャッシュストア : JBoss Data Gridはファイルベースのキャッシュストアを新規に二つ備え (SingleFileCacheStore および LevelDB-JNI)、 高い書き込みスループットおよび大規模データセットに対応できる高速化およびスケーラビリティを提供します。
- データの相互運用性: データの相互運用性により、アプリケーションはデータがグリッドにどのように書き込まれたか、またはどんな方法で書き込まれたかを知る必要なく、グリッドからデータを読み込むことができます。この相互運用性は異なるプロトコル間、同一プロトコルにおける異なる言語間、および異なるデプロイメントモードに適用されます。
- Hot Rodクライアントおよびセキュリティ: C++ アプリケーションが、C++ Hot Rodクライアントを介してデータグリッドにアクセスできるようになりました。さらに、新セキュリティ機能として Hot Rod上のユーザー認証および暗号化通信をサポートしています。
- REST用ローリングアップグレード: RESTプロトコルのローリングアップグレードにより、JBoss Data Gridをバージョンアップする際のユーザーサポートの向上、操作の簡略化、管理コストの削減が可能になりました。
